‘Wilia’ on the World’s Festival of Polish Immigrant Folk Groups

On 23rd July the World’s Festival of Polish Immigraant Folk Groups [Światowy Festiwal Polonijnych Zespołów Folklorystycznych] will take place in Rzeszów. The Vilnius group ‘Willa’ will also take part in this festival as well as around 30 other groups.

The festival will start on Wednesday, 23rd July for all groups, but the opening of the festival will be on Friday, 25th July and it will last to 30th July. On weekend, 26th and 27th July, there will be Polish community Days in Rzeszów and in Podkarpackie Region. The gala concert is planned to be on 29th July.

This year Lithuanian representative will be Polish Artistic Song and Dance Group ‘Willa’.

The choreographers of the groups that take part in the festival, can start in works hops before the event. It will be held a few days before the festival. However, the workshops will be regarded as a part of the event.

This year, it will be the 16th time when the World’s Festival of Polish Immigrant Folk Groups will be organized.
