Tusk is counting on the improvement of the relations with Lithuania

Today at 4.00p.m. of the Lithuanian time the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk is meeting with his Lithuanian colleague Algirdas Butkevičius. Also today the Lithuanian minister of energetics Jarosław Niewierowicz is paying an official visit in Warsaw. 

“Today I am hosting the Prime Minister of Lithuania and a Pole – the Lithuanian minister of energetics. A chance on bigger synergy” – Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter. “I have such an intention” – added Polish Prime Minister in a moment.

“With the Prime Minister Donald Tusk we are going to talk about economic issues and international projects realization: Rail Baltica i Via Baltica, energetics projects and the construction of the gas pipeline connecting Klaipėda and Warsaw” – the Prime Minister Butkevičius informed journalists.

The Lithuanian Prime Minister emphasized that during his visit in Warsaw unsolved for years problems of Lithuanian Poles will be raised.

Jarosław Niewierowicz is meeting with Polish minister of economy and the vice Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński. During the meeting economic and economic co-operation issues are going to be discussed.

“We have a lot of joint projects in energetic sector. The project “LitPolLink” is a good example that having joint purposes and goals the mutual, active and close co-operation is possible. I hope that in the future we will realize the joint project concerning the gas pipeline connection. Especially that last weekend in Brussels the decisions concerning the financial prospect were adopted, so it is possible that this project will obtain the UE financing” – wrote the Lithuanian Prime Minister in a special statement.
