The Supreme Council of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania decided that they will join the ruling coalition on one condition. AWPL demands the same conditions as the Order and Justice Party (lit. Tvarka ir teisingumas).

“We will join the ruling coalition on the same conditions as the Order and Justice Party”, said Waldemar Tomaszewski, a leader of AWPL.

The Order and Justice Party is smallest one which forms the ruling coalition and it aspires to two ministerial portfolios. As for today, the party is going to administrate the Ministry of Environment. It aspires also to the Minister of Justice’s portfolio.

PL DELFI informs that AWPL shows willingness to administrate three or four ministries: the Ministry of Education, Transport and Communication, Economy and Agriculture. However, Algirdas Butkevičius, the leader of social democrats, said that AWPL can expect only one ministerial portfolio.

“Order and Justice” got 11 mandates; AWPL – 8.
