The government has commissioned analysis of the situation of national minorities

When the government commissioned analysis of the situation of people belonging to national minorities in Lithuania the Ministry of Culture issued a call for tenders for it.

According to the a newspaper “Lietuvos žinios” the Ministry indicates that the research aims to analyse what needs people living in Lithuania and belonging to national minorities may have in order to integrate with the rest of the society.

A special programme for 2016-2022, which aims to preserve identity of national minorities and integrate them with Lithuanian society (“Program Zachowania Tożsamości Mniejszości Narodowych i Integracji ze Społeczeństwem Litewskim”), will be prepared after the evaluation.

The research will be carried out in Vilnius and in the areas of Vilnius, Soleczniki Wisaginiaand Kłajpeda.
