“People remember”. The celebration of Anna Krepsztul’s name day
The Museum of Anna Krepsztul in Tabariškės invites visitors to the meeting about this painter and creator of folk on Friday at 2 p.m.
“Every year, big parties take place in the Museum – on a birthday, name day and on the death of the painter. Anna’s name day approaches so we invite all friends and everybody who wants to remind Anna Krepsztul, listen to her statements in the letters, watch a movie and talk reminiscent of her,” says Danuta Mołoczko, the director of the Museum of Anna Krepsztul, privately the sister of the painter.
The Museum of Anna Krepsztul has been operating for seven years in a school building.
“We have 46 paintings, handicrafts and drawings by Anna Krepsztul,” lists Danuta Mołoczko.
In the Museum there is also a replica of a painter’s room – she was bedridden.
“This room is called the room of pain. This is a fragment of a house where the painter lived. This is the place where she suffered a lot. But she also worked here until she could,” says the sister of the folk artist.
In the Museum of Anna Krepsztul in Tabariškės many cultural initiatives take place.
“People remember and help. For the fourth year in a row the plein-air painting was organized and children from 6 to 12 years took part in it. The exhibition of works that have been made during the plein-art painting, embroidery and works of clay lasts until now,” says D. Mołoczko.
The celebration of Anna Krepsztul’s name day will be held on Friday (the 25th of July) at 2 p.m.
