The Social Democrats still lead in the polls

The Social Democratic Party still remains the most popular party in Lithuania and it has even improved its ranking during the last month, shows opinion poll carried out by Vilmorus Ltd.

The survey shows that the Social Democrats’ ranking increased from 27,3 per cent in February to 29,9 per cent in March. Such percentage of respondents answered the question  which party would they vote for in a parliamentary election if they would be held next Sunday.

The popularity of the Labour Party (Darbo partija) has increased slightly; in March it came to 13,6 per cent (in February – 12,7 per cent).

The third place has been held on to by the Conservatives, though with a slight loss. In March they had the support of 8,8 per cent of citizens (in February – 10,5 per cent). “Order and Justice” (“Tvarka ir teisingumas”) has taken fourth place with 7,9 per cent of the vote (in February – 7,5 per cent).
