Fridays with Polish literature

Everyone who cannot imagine their life without a book, and especially those who appreciate Polish literature in the next few weeks will have a chance to explore their favourite field of interest. The Polish Cultural Institute in Vilnius invites to a series of meetings ‘Fridays with Polish literature’. The meetings will be held by Professor Inga Iwasiów, a specialist in literature, a literary critic, a poet and prose writer from the University of Szczecin.

During the meetings, biographies and information about Polish authors after 1989 will be presented. To give the opportunity to understand those issues better, the organizers offer the writing exercises preceded with reflection on the language, form and the issues addressed in contemporary literary works.

Students, lecturers and teachers from schools, novice and experienced writers are welcome guests at the Friday meetings.

The first meeting takes place on Friday, 1st January, in the Polish Cultural Institute (Didžioji Street) at 4 p.m.
