Christmas meeting for the kids of the families at social risk in the Pogiry Eldership

@ Kurier Wilenski

On the December the 20th, the Pogiry Eldership has welcomed kids and their parents from the families at social risk. They took part in a meeting with Santa Claus.

All the guests were warmly welcomed by the Elder, Ms. Maria Maciulewicz. The large group of kids who came to the meeting were waiting impatiently for Santa Claus. Apart from presents, Santa Claus had some twigs in his bag (“just in case” for naught children) but he did not need to use them, because among 40 children none of them deserved it.

In spite of the age difference, children had a lot of fun by playing games and sports, by solving riddles prepared for them by Oksana Dawlewicz, a social worker for the families at social risk. The kids enjoyed also reciting poems, dancing and listening to Christmas carols. Mums of the children were happy to see the offspring being given gifts and sweets. At the end of the meeting, everyone was invited to sit at the table sumptuously laid out with sweets, fruit and other delicacies. The meeting took place in very good and friendly atmosphere and it will be surely remembered for a long time by the kids and their parents.
