The parties from the new coalition in power divided parliamentary committees between themselves. The Member of Parliament from EAPL, Leonard Talmont, might be promoted to the chair of the Human Rights Committee.

“It is just a proposition. The committee is to decide. We will see if it decides in favour” – said Leonard Talmont.

The Seimas has already approved the make-up of the parliamentary committees; however, it is not officially known who will become the leaders of the committees.

Social democrats will have 7 committees, the Labour Party – 5, Order and Justice – 3, the EAPL -1.
