Mayor of Vilnius thanked the European Foundation of Human Rights

Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius expressed his gratitude to the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR) and other organizations, institutions, volunteers and enterprises for their cooperation in 2016.

“Today I invite you to celebrate together the achievements of the Vilnius city. The previous year was successful for Vilnius and full of challenges. It is thanks to your will and efforts that the city is beautiful, lively and developing. I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all those who contributed to comprehensive growth and development of the capital” – said Mayor of Vilnius.

EFHR was appreciated for “support in the creation of the Polish version of the Vilnius municipality website and constant cooperation in translating texts into Polish.”

EFHR supports the activities of the Mayor of Vilnius to respect multiculturalism and multilingualism, and make the city of Vilnius open and tolerant by means of four-language customer service, information provided in sign language, and development of Polish and Russian versions of the website.

EFHR is glad to have helped, along with its volunteers, to realize local government initiatives, and wishes the city equally successful year 2017.
