Lelewel and Syrokomla schools were granted the Junior High School status

In the Ministry of Education and Science on the 15th of December took place session of special commission responsible for the accreditation of schools. The status of junior high school was granted to nine schools, five of which are the Polish ones.

The information was confirmed in the interview with “Znad Wilii” Radio by the spokeswoman of the department Nomeda Barauksienė.

According to the information, junior high school status was granted to two Vilnius schools: W. Syrokomla Middle School and J. Lelewel Middle School.

Apart from that junior high school status was also given to two facilities in the Vilnius region: Middle School in Zujuny , Middle School in Miedniki, and also Middle School in Połuknie which is situated in Trocki region.

The spokeswoman of the Department of Education informed that the Minister of The Education and Science will sign the appropriate order probably on Friday.
