Gedvilas will attend the Parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine in Warsaw

The Chairman of the Seimas, Vydas Gedvilas, will present the priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union at the Parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine which will take place next week in Warsaw.

On the first day of the visit, Gedvilas will meet with the Speaker of the Polish Senate, Bogdan Borusewicz, the Speaker of the Sejm, Ewa Kopacz, and with the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, Władimir Rybak.

On the second day, the session of the Assembly is planned during which two issues will be raised – the priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the relations of Ukraine and the European Union.

The Parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine is the inter-parliamentary consultative institution which examines common issues and projects of three countries. The Assembly includes ten MPs from the Lithuanian Seimas, the Sejm and the Senate of the Republic of Poland and the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
