We are starting the series of jubilee events devoted to the 150th anniversary of the January Uprising 1863

In 2013 we celebrate the 150^th anniversary of the January Uprising. From 1 March of this year we are starting the series of jubilee events devoted to the 150^th anniversary of the January Uprising, which is aimed at commemoration of the participants, the ideals that they cherished in their lives and to arouse interest of young people both in the history and the idea of patriotism so important in the times of globalisation and the worldwide cultural unification.

Within the framework of celebration, young people and the schoolchildren of the Vilnius district municipality are invited to take part in the contest “IN THE NAME OF GOD FOR OUR FREEDOM AND YOURS” as well as in the 1st Regional Contest of Scholl Papers.

In the schools of the Vilnius region, March was announced as THE MONTH OF THE JANUARY UPRISING.

We cordially invite school communities, parents, grandparents and all willing to participate in the school celebrations .
