Electoral roll has been accepted by Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania.

EAPL is going to put in coming election for chamber of duties, full  list of 141 candidates. 40 candidates are going to start from the first to pass the post voting. Elections in Lithuania are made by plurality – proportional voting system.

The main theme is  going to be “strong in unity” – informed on Wednesday the president of EAPL , Euroduty Mr. Waldemar Tomaszewski. The final list of candidates as well as the program for campaign of EAPL were accepted the before.

For the first time we had so many willing people to start under our banner. The full electoral list in Lithuania was able to present about five parties, our was one of them.  We were starting in 40 from 70 available electoral districts. Earlier we had started in 22 electoral districts – said Tomaszewski.

List of EAPL has almost 30 representatives from polish, Belarusian, tartars social organization as well as two political parties : Russian alliance from the city of Klapeda and Lithuania  agrarian party. In the program EAPL is trying to establish: change in act of education, which for this moment is discriminative for poles in Lithuania, development  of biofueal sector and development of Lithuania as a country of transit.

Since years the main theme for the party is the sentence” strong in unity”. We were unifying all the goodwill’s people not only Polish ones but Lithuanian too. Our list had over 20 of Lithuanians- informed president of EAPL.

The list of EAPL opens the president Waldemar Tomaszewski, the second position takes the chairman of Polish union in Lithuania, then the next positions are taken by vice president of the union Irina Rozowa,  chairman of Lithuania argain party Vaidotas Prunskus and the chairman of Vilnius  branch of EAPL Wanda Krawczonok.

From first pass the post voting district where EAPL is seems to be a winner or fights in a second row are going to start: present deputies Leonard Talmont Jaroslaw Narkiewicz, mayor of Šalčininkai district Zdzisław Palewicz, vice director of administrative Vilnius district Ryta Tamasziuniene, vice mayor of Vilnus Jaroslaw Kaminski and councilor of Vilnius district Tadeusz Andzejewski.

EAPL  hopes to get even 10 percent of  votes and part in ruling coalition. At the moment EAPL has 3 deputies in a Seym  , who got to the institution throughout the first pass the post voting selection. EAPL has not get the chance to cross the election threshold yet. The biggest success of the formation was in 2008 when it got 4,8 percent of the votes.

Election of chamber of duties are going to be on October 14 th A.D. it is said to be 27 parties attends in the elections. To make it to the Seym parties need to get election threshold of 5 percent and for coalitions it is 7 percent.
