Pranckietis: In spring the Seimas will consider laws important for national minorities

The plans for the spring parliamentary session include drafts of laws important for national minorities, including the law on the spelling of surnames, which is also important for Lithuanians married to foreigners – said Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas.

The Speaker of the Political Salon added that the beginning of the spring parliamentary session would also include laws on children’s rights, greater control over the banking sector, financing of higher education and increasing salaries for public sector employees.
