Polish flags on the procession on March 11th occasion

Traditionally, on the occasion of the Day of the Revival of Lithuania’s Independence in Vilnius, a festive march took place along Giedymin Avenue. Like every year, there were Lithuanian Poles and Polish flags. The Wilniuts are gathering more and more often that day, encouraged by the Polish Discussion Club. This year, for the first time, the “Gazeta Polska” Club joined the procession. In total, several thousands of people took part in the celebrations.

The Polish airmen with fighters, who supervise the air space of the Baltic States gave best wishes to Lithuanians. On March 11, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Lithuanian Republic announced the proclamation ‘On the restoration of the independence of the Lithuania.
