The European Foundation of Human Rights received acknowledgement from the mayor of Vilnius

On January 9 at the Vilnius City Hall, a meeting ceremony was held during which The European Foundation of Human Rights, along with other non-governmental organizations, institutions, enterprises and volunteers, received acknowledgement for cooperation from the mayor of Vilnius, Remigijus Simasius.

It is a second time when The European Foundation of Human Rights received acknowledgement from the Vilnius authorities for its activity for the development of the city. The foundation was rewarded for translating the Vilnius city website into Polish and for its constant help in translating all articles posted there.

The European Foundation of Human Rights intends to continue its cooperation with the local government not only in the field of translation, but also in other initiatives aimed at strengthening respect for multiculturalism, multilingualism and building an open and tolerant Vilnius.

“We are very happy that our work has been noticed and that we can contribute to the development of the city. We would like to thank the mayor and the local government of Vilnius for supporting our initiatives, among others by providing symbolic prizes in our art and “WOS” competitions, and for your cooperation in organizing conferences involving national minorities”, emphasized the members of The European Foundation of Human Rights.
