The Third International Scientific Conference “The Dynamic of the Polish-Lithuanian Relations”

The Third International Scientific Conference “The Dynamic of the Polish-Lithuanian Relations” will take place on 15th September 2016 in the Institute of Political Science and Diplomacy of the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas (44 Gedimino Street).

The Conference is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the resumption of the diplomatic relations between Poland and Lithuania. The results of the research concerning the dynamic of the development of relations in the fields of history, philology, political science, economics, sociology, social sciences and humanities will be presented during the conference.

Also, at the conference, on the 15th September at 4 pm in the Library-Museum of the President Valdas Adamkus in Kaunas (25 Daukanto Street) a discussion about the book “Prezydent Lech Kaczyński 2005-2010” by Slawomir Cenckiewicz and Adam Chmielecki will be held. The author of publication and the guests from Poland and Lithuania will take part in the meeting.  The main theme of the conversation will be the foreign policies of Poland and Lithuania carried out during the period of office of Lech Kaczynski and Valdas Adamkus, particularly in the context of their active operations in the Eastern Europe. It will also be a trigger to remember the ex-president Lech Kaczynski and his tragically interrupted term.

The Conference will be held in English. The discussion will be carried out in Polish and Lithuanian.
