Signposts “From above the Neris”: History of New Vilnia

Currently, New Wilejka the average inhabitant of Vilnius and Lithuania is rather associated with a psychiatric hospital. It is true that the hospital has played an important role in the history of the Vilnius district, although the same New Wilejka hides many interesting stories.

In today’s episode we’ll try to tell the story of this unique area of Vilnius.

History and the Present, people, places, phenomena and events in Vilnius and the Vilnius region. Earth Vilnius hides many secrets and facts less known to a wider audience, which will present a new project Signposts From above the Neris.

In total, we will present you with 16 episodes, and each of them will be devoted to a different topic. Premieres sections will be held every week on Monday.
