The conductor Jarosław Ciechanowicz is nominated to the Lithuanian National Prize

43 people were nominated to this year’s Lithuania National Prize for achievements in culture and the arts. Among the nominees is famous Lithuanian composer and conductor of Polish origin – Jarosław Ciechanowicz.

Jarosław Ciechanowicz is a well-known composer, conductor and educator in Lithuania.

The group of nominees inculed also: the writer Jakow Grigorij Kanonowicz, the actor Algimantas Adomaitis, the sculpotr Juozas Kalinauskas, actresses Gražina Balandytė, Eglė Gabrėnaitė and Nelė Savičenko, the musician Vladimiras Čekasinas, the musicologist Viktoras Gerulaitis, the sculptor Gintaras Karosas, the singer Judita Leitaitė, the architect Audrius Ambrasas, the actor Arūnas Sakalauskas, the antropologist kultury and the publicist Virginijus Savukynas.

The chapter of the Lithuanian National Prize for achievements in culture and the arts, which is lead by a philosopher and former eurodeputee Leonidas Donskis, will announce the winners until 15th of December, 2014.

The Prize is awarded since 1989.
