The Seimas fraction of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania will continue working as an opposition group

Today, on 11th of September, Seimas fraction of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania officially announced that they will continue working in the parliament as an opposition group. The leader of the party, Rita Tamašunienė, was the one who delivered the message from the platform.

“The Seimas fraction of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania remains true to democratic and christian values and the policy pursued by the party which follows the rules of transparency, honesty and equal rights and social justice. EAPL is also loyal to its electoral programme from 2012 and does not tolerate any business, financial or corruption matters in the government. EAPL does not yield to the pressure, does not agree with the dictate of the biggest coalition partner and dose not agree with the negligence in the execution of the government programme. That is why Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania leaves the ruling coalition of four parties and announces that from now on it is a fraction with no Seimas dependency.” – declared the leader of the fraction in the Lithuanian Seimas.

The leader emphasized that being in the opposition, the group will constructively work in favour of the Lithuania.

“The Seimas fraction of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania through constructive work in the opposition will continue an honest and full of principles actions in favour of our country and caring for prosperity of common citizens of Lithuania.” – said Rita Tamašunienė.

It should be remembered that on 26th of August, 2014, after the meeting of the participant of the ruling coalition, EAPL announced it resignation.
