Vilners decorated at the festival in Mrągowo

Anna Adamowicz, Dominik Kuziniewicz, Jerzy Karpowicz and Krystyna Adamowicz have been honoured with the badges of Merit for Warmia and Mazury.

The badges were awarded during the 20th Festival of Borderland Culture in Mragowothat took place last weekend.

On the occasion of the jubilee festival, Krystyna Adamowicz has also published a book – an album, a chronicle of the Borderland Festival in Mrągowo.

“I hope that the book is successful. There are lots of pictures, and also photos taken by Karpowicz. There are many interesting memories, too. The texts are a reminder of what there was. It is a kind of assessment – what are the Borderlands? How much they mean to Poland and to us, Poles living in the Borderlands,” said Krystyna Adamowicz for the Radio “Znad Wilii”.
