The Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius said while a present-day meeting that he is still expecting the Minister of Energy’s decision concerning the vice Minister Renata Cytacka’s case.

“The vice Minister of Energy was explicitly said that it is the sphere of his competence. He is to give me an answer about the decision he will make. Nothing changes, I am waiting for his decision” – the Prime Minister repeated today.

Lithuanian media announced that the Prime Minister ordered to see into Cytacka’s behavior at the time after she was to charge in public the President Dalia Grybauskaitė with a lie. In the open letter published, the vice Minister wrote that Grybauskaitė lies about the situation of Poles in Lithuania.

“The President Grybauskaitė publicly misled an international community and MEPs, saying there is no mention in any of international organizations’ reports that in Lithuania ethnic minorities rights are being infringed. The President is lying” – one can read in Cytacka’s statement.

The Forum of Polish Schools’ Parents of Šalčininkai District gave endorsement to the chairwoman of Forum Renata Cytacka. As the vice-chairman of Forum Antoni Bandalewicz points out, members of the Forum come out in favor of the chairwoman’s stance. Moreover, Renata Cytacka comes under the group of courageous people and her courageousness is worth following suit:

Over 30 Polish social organizations, ahead with the Association of Poles in Lithuania, issued a joint statement, by which they gave endorsement to the representatives of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania’s operation and made an appeal for accepting the Act of ethnic minorities.
