The final gala of the contest “Talents of Vilnius Region 2013″ organized in a festive mood, took place yesterday (29th December) in Rudomino. A special committee selected three winners.

„Actually, I started singing on similar stages as here, in Rudomino, during “Talents of Vilnius Region 2013″. I do not remember in how many of such contests I participated. I have never counted them. It is possible that there were around 26 of them” – Ewelina Saszenko joked. She performed a few song as a guest.

It is worth mentioning that the room was filled to the brim. Many guests came, e.g  the mayor of  the government of Vilnius District Municipality, Maria Rekść and Jarosław Narkiewicz, the vice-president of Parliament. Fourteen participants performed on the stage. Then, Santa Claus gave presents to children.

Zbigniew Lewicki, the initiator and artistic supervisor of the contest, said that a gifted man would always stand out from the crowd. „It is a trifle that distinguish one man form another. I think that everybody has an aptitude to something, but not everyone is brave enough to show it” – he said to the audience.

The first three places – actually two of them, because the committee decided to award the first and   two second places – received tablets, prizes from the contest organizers. „I was astonished by the decision of the committee because great majority of participants deserved to be in the first place.” – said the champion of the competition, Elżbieta Oleszkiewicz. She also emphasized that she would like to continue her musical career.

Two second places were won by Paulina Anisimowa and Elana Galin. „I am very happy that my friend came in first. However, I still would like to work in music.” – Paulina Anisimowa informed.
