Vivat Juwenalia! Juve juvenalia!

The Juwenalia of the Vilnius branch of University of Białystok finally drew to an end. The Intellectual Battle inaugurated this exceptional student celebration and the lectures for the graduates of the Polish schools in Lithuania held by the academic staff of The Faculty of Economics and Informatics of the Vilnius branch of University of Białystok crowned the festivities. The sport day and the clubbing night were also organized with students in mind. “To each his own”, as an old proverb goes, provided, that “each” was willing to try to find something that would suit him best.

The general impression was that this edition of Juwenalia was attended by few students of the Vilnius branch of the university. Yet, appearances can be deceptive. The Intellectual Battle was participated by supposedly twice as many students as one year ago. Were the Juwenalia festivities to grow at such an impressive pace, they would certainly not remain unnoticed anymore.

Undoubtedly, the weather held up and encouraged to play football on the beach, take part in a canoeing trip down the river or to contemplate the charade, while sipping cool beer…

What to wish the students? More enthusiastic zeal and outstanding ideas – as long-term aims. For the near future though, all the best in the upcoming exam session. Burning the midnight oil – only as seldom as necessary, only expected topics and questions in the exams, impressive marks and – most importantly – cheerful mood of the lecturers and examiners (since this factor also can have a tremendous effect on the final mark).

We wish the Vilnius branch of the University of Białystok the dream seat (may the tenders be won and no longer lost) and a dynamic circle of the academic staff (may its members be more yours than foreign). Yet, first and foremost – as many graduates willing to be admitted to your university as possible.

After all, the Faculty of Economics and Informatics of the Vilnius branch of University of Białystok has been the only one foreign university in Lithuania and the only one foreign branch of the Polish university!
