Waldemar Tomaszewski, the leader of the Polish Election Movement in Lithuania, during TV election broadcast  called „Lietuvos rytas” said, that till now, there is not any coalition in the government. Nevertheless, they like the concept of  Algirdas Butkevičius as a leader of the AWPL party.

Tomaszewski said that there haven’t been any talks concerning the future coalition. “ We have not talked officially (with Butkevičius). Where haven’t been any casual talks concerning that matter either. We’ve just exchanged a few words, that’s all.”- Tomaszewski explained.

Tomaszewski declared, that the most important issues for the AWPL party are the progress in the biofuels inLithuania, growth in the financing of local roads, change in the education policy and passing the law concerning national minorities.

Wiktor Uspaskich, the leader of the Labour Party (Darbo partija) said in an interview, that the opinion of Poles should be taken into consideration during the creation of the future coalition. He also called the AWPL party a strong one. Tomaszewski expressed his content with being called ‘a strong party’. He did not say whether his party will create a coalition with the Labour Party. As for now, the AWPL party is satisfied only with the future Prime Minister.

“There isn’t any coalition right now. It is almost certain that Butkevičius will be the next Prime Minister, and with that we are satisfied.”- Tomaszewski announced.
