1 percent from taxes: Most people supported the AWPL

The State Tax Inspectorate (Valstybinė mokesčių inspekcija (VMI) has made public how much money was donated by citizens to political parties within deducting 1 percent from the income tax. It turned out that most people supported the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania, however, the largest amount of money was raised by the conservatives. 

Overall the political parties were supported by 45.78 thousand people. AWPL was supported by 9.5 thousand people, whereas the conservatives by 7.87, social democrats – 7.4, Labour Party (Darbo partija) – 6.3, The Liberal Movement ( Liberalų sąjūdis) – 3.45, and ”Order and Justice” („Tvarka ir teisingumas“) 3.

In this waay the parties were granted 1 million 92 thousand LTL. Conservatives raised the most money (505 thousand LTL), social democrats (316 thousand LTL), The Liberal Movement (228 thousand LTL). AWPL received 208 thousand LTL.
