The high school graduates’ polonaise at the square in Soleczniki

On Wednesday evening, the high school graduates of Jan Śniadecki Gymnasium in Soleczniki danced the polonaise. The event took place at the town square in front of the local government building.
It seems that the high school graduates’ polonaise at the square in Soleczniki is becoming a tradition. The previous twelfth graders at Jan Śniadecki Gymnasium inspired this year’s graduates to continue their initiative. On Wednesday evening, the center of Soleczniki was filled with the majestic music of Wojciech Kilar’s “Pan Tadeusz” film. The dance procession was a sight to behold, with elegant young gentlemen and beautiful young ladies standing out among the crowd. Thus, 57 graduates of Jan Śniadecki Gymnasium in Soleczniki began their farewell ball!
Parents, teachers, and mentors Bożena Bandalewicz and Diana Kondrackaja proudly watched the students dancing. The graduates stepped into adulthood through the polonaise.
The dance of the graduates caught the attention of everyone present at the square during that time. Many phones captured snapshots of the polonaise.
And the day before, 142 pairs of graduates from six Polish gymnasiums in Vilnius danced the traditional polonaise on Cathedral Square in Vilnius.
