The Vilnius Forum is officially registered

On Friday, April 14, the first meeting of the Vilnius Forum took place after its registration at the Center of Registers. The forum was established on the initiative of socially and politically active Poles in Lithuania and aims to conduct a debate on the interests of the Polish community in Lithuania.

During the meeting, the results of the last local government elections in Lithuania were discussed, and the results of the Polish community representatives from various political parties were presented. It was also decided on the priorities of the forum’s activities for the coming months, including the planned meetings with the leaders of Lithuanian political parties and the organization of a conference in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

The Vilnius Forum will be the platform for discussions on the topic of Poles in Lithuania, including, among others, the rights of Poles in Lithuania, Polish media in Lithuania, education as well as cultural, academic and political activities.

The chairman of the Vilnius Forum is Professor Jarosław Wołkonowski. The Vilnius Forum will regularly report on its progress and planned activities.
