On February 15th, the President and Chairman of the local government in the Soleczniki district, Zdzisław Palewicz, signed an agreement with the Rector of Jagiellonian University, Professor Grzegorz Górski, to create a new location for the university in the Soleczniki district. The ceremony was also attended by Tomasz Rzymkowski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Poland. The agreement was signed at the university’s headquarters in Toruń.

According to the cooperation agreement, the local government and university authorities will work together to provide residents of the Soleczniki district with the opportunity to pursue higher education in pedagogy, administration, and other fields.

A consulting and recruitment center for Jagiellonian University will be established, and the parties to the agreement will ensure effective recruitment practices.

Details regarding the opening and operation of the recruitment center will be finalized by the end of February this year.

The establishment of a new location for Jagiellonian University will greatly benefit the local community by creating conditions for increasing pedagogical, administrative, and other necessary staff for local institutions.”
