Political Parties Ranked: EAPL–CFA Failed to Reach Threshold
According to public opinion polls carried out by Spinter tyrimai at the request of the portal delfi.lt, the Conservatives remain at the top of the electoral ranking, with Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance (EAPL–CFA) having improved its ratings. Nevertheless, the latter still did not manage to reach the required electoral threshold.
In April, 20.4% of respondents expressed their support for the conservatives, as compared with 19.6% in March.
The Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union was supported by 17.3% of respondents in April, whereas in March by 16.5%.
As a result of falling support, the Social Democrats were ranked third. Support for them dropped from 10.5% in March to 8.3 % in April.
In addition to the parties mentioned above, the election threshold was achieved by the Liberals Movement with a score of 6.4% and 6.2% of votes (respectively in April and March), the Labour Party (5.6%; 5.4%) and the Order and Justice Party (5.5%).
EAPL–CFA was just under the electoral threshold. In March, the Polish party was supported by 4.2%, as compared with April, when the approval ratings went up to 4.6%.
