Intensive renovation works at J. I. Kraszewski Junior High School

The institution participates in the project “Renovation of J. I. Kraszwski junior high school in Vilnius “, which is as part of the care of the Senate of the Republic of Poland on the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad and the Local Government of the City of Vilnius, co-financed by the “Polish Community” Association.

Students and teachers now have improved working conditions, modern equipment and new furniture. Completely renovated ground floor of the school building that is about 350 sq m., with offices located there, was put into use just a week ago.The school community is also grateful to the local government of Vilnius, who this year supported the renovation of sanitary facilities, canteens, parking and construction of a multfunctional football field the grand opening of which took place on December 4. The construction of the field was financed by the Vilnius local government and the Department of Physical Culture and Sport at the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.

The opening ceremony of the new field was attended by: Edyta Tamošiūnaitė, vice-mayor of Vilnius, Kornelija Tiesnesytė, temporarily acting director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sport at the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Evaldas Martinka, head of sports branch of this Department and Waldemar Borowski, high school graduate and long-term representative of Lithuania in football.

In addition to the new sports field, the school has a new parking lot with an ecological cover. Schools canteen and sanitary facilities also have been renovated.
We would like to thank the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Dariusz Piotr Bonisławski, the president of the “Polish Community” Association, and Edyta Tamošiūnaitė, vice-minister of Vilnius for modernizing the school and its equipment.
