The candidate of EAPL-CFA, Muksinow, got a medal from Putin

A well-known Russian and Tatar activist in Lithuania and a candidate of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance in the parliamentary election, Rafael Muksinow received the Medal of Pushkin from the hands Aleksander Udalcow, an ambassador of the Russian Federation. The adequate decision was made by Vladimir Putin in February this year.

The ceremony took place on the 29th of August in the Russian Embassy in Vilnius. The Ambassador presented the Medals of Pushkin also to a poet Jurij Kobrinow and Anatolijow Stiszko.

The Medal of Pushkin is awarded to the citizens of Russia and to the foreigners for achievements in the arts and culture, education, humanities and literature.

Rafael Muksinow is a sociologist and a city councilor of Vilnius. In his speeches he often criticizes the West and NATO, and glorifies the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In the period 2010-2015, he was a Deputy Chairman of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots, the Chairman of the Republican Coordination Council of the Russian Compatriots by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lithuania. For four years, he was a member of the Council for the Compatriots by the State Duma.

The Lithuanian counterintelligence considers the movement of the Compatriots to be an instrument of the Kremlin designed to expand the Russian influence beyond the borders of Russia.

The parliamentary elections will be held on the 9th October in Lithuania.
