Vilnius is with Warsaw at the hour of “W”

The Vilnius Patriotic Youth paid tribute to the Warsaw Uprising insurgents.

1st August 2016 is the 72nd anniversary  of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The Vilnius Patriotic Youth invited everybody to pay tribute to the heroes.

The gathering took place at the Hill of Three Crosses at the “W” hour (the code name of the day and the hour of the beginning of the Warsaw Uprising), so at 5 PM according the Polish time (6PM in Lithuania).

The appeal reached the youth as well as the adults. They held letters in hands forming the word “Pamiętamy” (We remember). There were also such slogans as “Honor and glory to the heroes”.

This way, the people of Vilnius joined the Polish nationwide action “Warsaw ’44 – Fight for Poland”.
