Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School Is Going to Have a New School Bus
The community of the Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School will soon be able to enjoy a new school bus, thanks to which the problem of bringing children to school will be solved and even better quality of education will be ensured.
At the council meeting held on 1st July, a resolution was adopted concerning the takeover of a Volkswagen Crafter school bus of the M2 category by the Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School in Nemenčinė from the Ministry of Education and Science, basing on the principle of trust. The students will be able to use the new means of transport from 1st September.
The new 19-seat school bus for the Konstanty Parczewski Secondary School in Nemenčinė will be useful not only as a guarantee of a safe way to school, but also for travelling to various events, sports competitions, and for educational trips. The cost of the new vehicle amounts to €36,149.
The educational institutions of the Vilnius region are going to have 27 buses now to bring students to school. In the 2015-2016 school year, 1,089 students of all classes went to school by school buses.
Pursuant to the Law on Education of the Republic of Lithuania, the pupils who study within the kindergarten and general curriculum and live in the countryside or small towns that are located at least three kilometres from the school have to be brought there by bus.
The Local Government of the Vilnius Region is glad that it can improve the situation of bringing the students to school and guarantee safe travel to them.
