Aleksander Kwaśniewski: Poland and Lithuania jointly achieved important strategic goals
I like coming to Lithuania because in my political activity I have always closely cooperated with this country – said the former president of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
Today’s guest of Salon Polityczny underlined that Poland and Lithuania together achieved important strategic goals. „And now, as the strategic matters are settled, we have time to deal with issues that should be settled long time ago”, Kwaśniewski underlined.
The former president of the Republic of Poland also spoke about migration crisis. „Neither the Poles nor the Lithuanians have the right to say to the refugees: ‘it’s not our business’”, stated Kwaśniewski, who admitted that this issue is serious and the problem lies not only in how to divide the refugees. „The question is how to slow this process down, what one can do to end the war in Syria and to win against Islamic State. It is also a question if our Polish and Lithuanian soldiers are ready to go and fight on the right side in Syria to have the situation under control”, said the former president of Poland.
