Leonard Talmont, the parliamentary representative of EAPL, issued declaration in which he calls on civil bodies to stop such attacks.

„I would like to pay Parliament of Republic of Lithuania’s attention to the fact, as it is the basic legislative body in our country. What is more, I want to also pay politicians’ and public opinion’s attention to the consequences, mentioned in the media, of discord incitement towards national minorities, made by politicians, social activists and organizations”– the parliamentary representative said.

According to Talmony, such attacks are also against national minorities and they make hatred between nations. The attempts at bully national minorities started and it is especially not respectable in European Union. “National minorities in Lithuania want to quick actions against law-enforcement agencies in order to provide their with security and protection of the properties” – the politician declared.

Unknown culprits removed nameplates with Polish inscriptions from private buildings in Jašiūnai at night, 11-12 March.
