“I was a little surprised by yesterday’s demarche of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuanioa (EAPL) from ceremonial meeting of Seimas” – said Eugeniusz Grzeszczak, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and the representative of Poland who took part in the celebration of Freedom Defenders Day.

The guest of today’s “Salon Polityczny Trójki” (Political Salon of Channel 3) added that he expected deputies of EAPL to return to the room after the speech of Landsbergis. Unfortunately, they did not.

The Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland stated that this year is the 20th anniversary of the concluding of the mutual Friendship Treaty. “It is a good time to summarize the fulfillment of its provisions” – stressed Grzeszczak.

The Deputy Marshal informed that mutual meeting is planned to be held in spring this year, while, accorign to the politician, it should be organized only after Lithuania fulfill all provisions of the Treaty.

The presidium of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland and the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic started their session today (January 14), at 11 a.m.
