We hope that our emotions, our singing hearts will attract today many enthusiasts of both popular and classical music – Katarzyna Niemyćko said to zw.lt a few hours before the concert in Salcininkai. The singer will appear on stage of City Park in Salcininkai together with the Chestnut Choir of Vilnius region.

„The mood is great and the weather is nice which is also very important. We are always very happy to go to Salcininkai.” Katarzyna says before the concert. Her performance with the Chestnut Choir of Vilnius region will be preceded by the performances of the biggest stars of Polish classical music who will present to the Salcininkai audience the chamber music program of all time.

„We love Salcininkai and Salcininkai apparently love us. After the first performance in this town, the whole choir was delighted, and we go with great pleasure for every other concert here” says Katarzyna. She adds that the Chestnut Choir of Vilnius region has already been invited to Salcininkai for  another few events.

„There are people in the choir who besides singing have ‘normal’ jobs, other responsibilities, so trying to organize practices or trips is always not without some difficulties. It was enough, however, to say that we have a concert in Salcininkai and the singers bombard me with text messages, they show up to all the practices, even those that take place late at night, and they can not wait for the performance” says Katarzyna with a smile.

The singer says that the choir returned recently from a concert tour in Poland. „After performances in Poland, the members of the choir observed that the Lithuanian audience does not know how to  have fun like that. I think there is something in the Polish soul, this openness, the warm welcome that is so important for the artists. The same is true in Salcininkai.” notes the singer.

The concert in Salcininkai will start at 7 pm. After the performance of Katarzyna and the Chestnut Choir of Vilnius region, one of the most popular Polish opera soloists Kazimierz Kowalski, along with the soloists from Warsaw, Lodz and Poznan opera will present a program of chamber music of all time. The artists have announced that it will be a light, easy and fun repertoire.

A concert in the town square in Rudziszki will take place at 5 pm on Saturday. In addition to the artists from Poland, the Lithuanian band ‘El Fuego’ will perform hits of classical music.
