The Red Guitars ever green songs

Czerwone Gitary

The legendary Polish rock group “Red Guitars” will be visiting Vilnius in few weeks time. Their songs are not getting old, therefore people of different ages will be attending their concert. The concert will be held on 18-th of May at the Congress Hall in Vilnius.

The members of the veteran group “Wilia”, who are going to be at the concert, shared with PL DELFI memories of their youths, when the “Red Guitars” were one of the most important things in their life.

“The youths, that love, the madness of youth, the first disco evenings, those unbelievable adventures. That time is coming back for a while only. It comes back when you hear the song on the radio, or you listen to the old songs on CD. That freedom and… lack of inhibition, which is so hard to achieve nowadays” – recalled Roman.

” That music was a easy to listen to, to remember, to dance with. And although the time is changing, the songs are not getting old. I am so happy, that I will be able to listen to my favorite ever green songs of my idols live” – added Fryderyk.

The music and texts of the songs of “Red Guitars” are still so relevant, that the Vilnius teenagers are also going to the concert.

“I attended the “Red Guitars” concert first time as early as in the 80-ties and later in the 90-ties of last century, at the Sport Palace. The hall was full, people – who were sitting next to me – were very much surprised, that – being so young – I knew the songs texts. The “Red Guitars” music was present in my house, my parents and their friends sang them during the country side outings. “Anna Maria” [“Anna Maria”], “Od lat 18” [“For 18+ only”], “Płoną góry, płoną lasy” [“Mountains glowing, forests glowing”] as well as the distinctive Seweryn Krajewski voice are important part of my life. I am very happy to be able to listen to them again live, after so many years” – excited Ewa Kratkowska told PL DELFI.

“I am not the “Red Guitars” band fan, and I do not listen to them every day, but I like them and respect them. I did have an opportunity to listen to them live last year in September at the harvest festival in Ŝalĉininkai. Very cheerful music, good vocalist, reasonable texts and that positive aura during the performance, all that brought the band a very warm reception. My father likes the band very much, therefore during his 50-th anniversary the Red Guitars well known songs were ringing in our ears at the coffee shop” – Dariusz Lewicki  – the student of conservation – told PL DELFI.
