The declaration of the launching assembly of the representatives of the Polish media editorial staff:

On 10th May the launching assembly of The Association “Polish media in Lithuania” was held in the Polish Culture Centre in Vilnius. The major aim of the Association is to coordinate the cooperation between the Polish media established in Lithuania.

The necessity of such an action arose due to a complicated situation, in which the Polish mass-media in Lithuania have been for a long period of time. In such circumstances, the representatives of the Polish media editorial staff have agreed unanimously that in this way it will be significantly easier for us to apply for additional financial means, solve the problems and coordinate the actions. Another essential aim of the Association will be also to perfect the cooperation with the Lithuanian, Polish and international institutions, entirely devoted to support the media.
