Saszenko: In 2013 I want to record an album and get married
I always spend Christmas with my family, Ewelina Saszenko, a well-known Polish singer from Lithuania, told PL DELFI.On New Year’s Day I will perform two concerts at the Vilnius Town Hall, the singer informed.
How did you like the year 2012?
I never think about accomplishments, nor do I sum them up, but this year I did a lot. I’m happy with the new musical “Siegfried Werner Cabaret” at the Kaunas Musical Theatre, and a project called “Only girls are allowed in jazz” (translator’s note: “Džiaze tik merginos” was the Lithuanian translation of “Some Like It Hot”), where I sing with Rūta Ščiogolevaitė and Karina Krysko. I also performed in “Love songs” with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra. Apart from that I did many things which I do not even remember at this point. The year has flown by so quickly that I didn’t even have time for a recap.
The year itself has been successful, I had a lot of concerts and I always sang to a full house, which is very important to me. I met many nice and good people who enriched me.
There have been some ups and downs in my personal life. Once again I am looking for that special person, but it’s not something I am worried about.
And what are your plans for next year?
Every year I promise myself that I would record an album, but every year other and more important issues arise and I have to abandon my resolution. I really hope that next year I will make my own album. Apart from that I’m planning a premiere of a minimusical on St. Vamentine’s. And I want to get married, of course! I do not plan it yet, but wanting is the first step.
How does Ewelina Saszenko spend Christmas?
I always spend Christmas with my family at my grandma’s, where all of us gather: aunts, uncles, godparents, and the closest family of course. On New Year’s Day I will be working, that is performing two concerts. New Year’s Day is always sold. This year I will give two concerts at the Vilnius Town Hall.
