The leader of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania Wa ldemar Tomaszewski said he wants to receive three ministerial portfolios, among other things the Ministry of Education and Science portfolio if his party was to enter into the ruling coalition.

”We’ve received a proposal to join the ruling coalition, we will consider it at the meeting on Monday. We want to take up the post of the minister of Education, Transport, Economy and Agriculture. We have won 8 seats, so four ministries are perhaps too much. We may give up the idea of taking the Ministry of Economy, but we will try to get the rest.”

Social Democrat leader Algirdas Butkevičius said that the Ministry of Education is already promised to another coalition partner.
