President Duda’s advisor will visit Lithuania
On 12-13 January Snow Meeting, a traditional informal meeting of security policy experts will be held in Trakai. It will be attended by Krzysztof Szczerski, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
Poland will be also represented by Sławomir Dębski, director of Polish Institute of International Affairs and Zbigniew Pisarski, political analyst and President’s advisor on the National Security Strategic Review.
The Snow Meeting will be attended by foreign ministers of Lithuania, Estonia and Georgia, and Deputy Secretary General of NATO Rose Gottemoeller. Altogether, 90 diplomats, advisors, politicians and experts from 20 countries, and EU and NATO institutions will take part in the meeting.
The participants will discuss the future of transatlantic community after presidential election in the USA, changes in societies of Europe and North America, and the challenges that Russia has to face in respect of democratic values, human rights and international order. The issue related to the implementation of Warsaw NATO Summit agreements will be also raised and other means of strengthening allies’ security in the face of conventional and hybrid dangers will be discussed. Additional session will be devoted to cooperation between the EU and the USA.
