The best Polish graphic signs on the exhibition in Vilnius
On Tuesday (20th December) in Vilnian art gallery Arka was opened the Second All-Poland Exhibition of Graphic Signs 1945-1969 and 2000-2015. “We are lucky because it is one of the best and most interesting exhibitions in Poland if it comes to area of design. Before it came to Vilnius, it was travelling throughout Poland, and next year it will come to Kaunus”- said Marcin Łapczyński, the director of Polish Institute in Vilnius while welcoming all people gathered. The exposure consists of two parts- the first presents graphic signs created before year 1969, for instance Pekao sign, Moda Polska sign, CPN, Unitra, Shopping Centre “Telimena” sign and other, iconic nowadays graphic signs created by such artists as Ryszard Bojar, Roman Duszek, Jan Hollender, Emilia Paprockam Karol Śliwka- who is also the author of the exhibition’s logo. The second part shows the newest graphic signs that were made in years 2000-2015. Among them there is a sign of the Polish Institute in Vilnius.
