AWPL-ZChR has a new logo

“Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance” in the autumn parliamentary election will have a new logo. The logo presents a family of four and the fish – a symbol of Christianity. As Waldemar Tomaszewski, the chairman of the party, said the new logo suits perfectly the programmatic direction of the party: it shows the symbols of Christianity and a traditional family.

The name of the party was supplemented during a party’s convention in May 2016. Since its inception in 1994 it was named “Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania”. Since May 2016: “Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance.”

As the party’s chairman Waldemar Tomaszewski informed the next step was transforming the logo. On Monday, the 22nd of August, the supreme council of AWPL-ZChR approved the new logo. It consists of the elements symbolizing Christianity and a strong family. One of the main themes is a fish that has been a symbol of Christianity since the year one. The traditional family, a woman, a man and two children, a boy and a girl, portrayed on the logo features the pursuit of love and happiness. The colors which were selected symbolize perfection and stability, and the name of the party is a kind of culmination of the graphics. As Mr. Tomaszewski has pointed out: blue is the Marian color.

The logo of the party was presented during a press conference in the parliament. As the startost of the parliamentary fraction AWPL-ZChR Rita Tamašunienė has said the new symbol appealed to both the old and the young members of the party.
