Polish Armed Forces’ Day: diplomats, veterans, politicians and Aleksandr Vasilye
Traditionally, on the occasion of the Polish Armed Forces at Rossa at the Mausoleum of the Heart of the Mother of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski, a tribute was paid to the Polish soldiers. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Polish diplomatic corps headed by Ambassador Jaroslaw Czubińskim. It was also attended by Polish activists in Lithuania, including the chairman of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania, MEP Waldemar Tomaszewski, representatives of the Polish education, veterans and scouts.
Also a tribute to a Polish soldier was paid by the members of the Polish Discussion Club. The ceremony was also attended by well-known Russian fashion historian and celebrity Aleksandr Vasiliev. Polish Armed Forces’ Day was established on the 30th of July, 1992, to commemorate the victorious Battle of Warsaw which was fought during the Polish-Bolshevik war on the 15th of August.
