Valatka: Even if the whole EAPL list got changed, it wouldn’t matter
Possible Waldemar Tomaszewski’s decision of resigning from the stand in parliamentary elections will not affect a result of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania –Christian Families Alliance in any way – Lithuanian publicist Rimvydas Valatka thinks.
‘’Tomaszewski doesn’t have to say that he won’t be participating in elections, it was already clear. Legal acts changed and you cannot pretend to be standing for elections if you don’t intend to actually go to this institutions. Tomaszewski earns over 8 thousand euro in European Parliament so he would be a fool if he went to Lithuanian Sejm where you earn only 2 thousand’’-Valatka said during her talk with Znad Willi Radio.
‘’How will it affect the party’s result? It won’t. Even if all the politics from this list were changed, the electorate would vote anyway. People vote for staying in a closed environment, aversion to Lithuania and against the fact that Lithuania is not doing anything to attract people’’-political commentator added.
According to unconfirmed information, the leader of Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance, Waldemar Romaszewski will resign from participating in elections for Lithuanian Sejm that will take place in October. Rita Tamašuniene would become the numer 1 of the list then. The party announced that an official statement regarding this issue will be released soon.
