Polish-Lithuanian Independence Day with the Polish Discussion Club

Polish beer, Polish sauerkraut stew, Polish songs, and interesting interlocutors – yesterday in “Piano Man” bar the Polish Discussion Club (PKD) organised a meeting dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the Polish independence regaining.

“It’s worth to discuss not only things that separate us, since there are more things that we share,” Artur Zapolski, PKD chairman, said at the beginning.

Indeed, the Friday meeting that a lot of people attended – Poles as well as Lithuanians – was a time spent very pleasantly. The discussion proved that the representatives of both nations can discuss things and have a good time together.

The people who were invited to the meeting were the ones, that according to the club, join the two nations instead of separating them.

Rimvydas Valatka, the “Veidas” editor-in-chief and the author of “Kamień Jagiełły Polska” book, Jarosław Niewierowicz, the former Minister of Energy, as well as a rally driver Benediktas Vanagas participated in a discussion concerning the meaning of the Polish Independence Day to Lithuania.
