Today the thousandth issue of the Vilnius Weekly Magazine, a newspaper that is being published for over 20 years, has reached the readers. The newspaper is published in Polish and Lithuanian and it is read not only in Vilnius and the Vilnius region but in every part of our country where Poles live – in Kowieńszczyzna, Kiejdany. It reaches people who live in Poland and are interested in the subject covered in the magazine.

A journalist Irena Mikulewicz, editior of the jubilee edition says that life in the Vilnius region, its inhabitants and defending their rights were the most important things since the beginning of the Vilnius Weekly Magazine.

On the first page of the thousandth jubilee issue there is ‘A word from the reader’ section, there are also comments from the readers and an overview of the events that were being exposed in the magazine throughout those years. There are also articles on current issues.
